The atmosphere at the 2021 Dutch Grand Prix seemed like a festival, and Max Verstappen added the icing by taking his seventh race win of the year. An event that returned to the calendar after 36 long years, the race brought up its fair share of stats and facts.

Here are all the numbers from the 2021 Dutch GP –

GENERAL –

  • Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen shared the podium for the 18th time together, and the fifth time this year.
  • The top-5 at the end of the Dutch Grand Prix ended in the same position they started the race. The same happened at the Belgian Grand Prix, although we didn’t exactly have a race (all the laps were run behind the safety car).
  • Only three drivers completed the whole race distance as Verstappen lapped everyone except Hamilton and Bottas. That’s the fewest since the 2020 Spanish Grand Prix.
  • Zandvoort is notorious for producing races where few cars finish on the winner’s lap. The last five races at this venue have seen five drivers or lesser finish on the lead lap.
  • In 31 races so far, the Dutch Grand Prix has never seen a full safety car period or a red flag race interruption.

RED BULL –

  • Last time’s winner, Verstappen took the 17th race win of his career, taking the title of the driver with the most F1 victories without ever winning a championship, surpassing Sir Stirling Moss.
  • The race saw the Dutchman taking his 100th points finish (17th all-time) and he also went past 1000 laps in the lead (19th all-time).
  • Sergio Perez hasn’t contributed much to Red Bull’s constructor points in the last four races. He has four points to his name since the British GP, while Verstappen has 42.5.

MERCEDES –

  • Valtteri Bottas finally led a lap after the 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix, ten races ago.
  • Mercedes took their sixth double podium of the year, but are yet to take a one-two race finish since last year’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

ALPHATAURI –

  • Pierre Gasly P4 finish meant he has scored points in 10 of the 13 races this year.
  • The Frenchman has scored 79% of AlphaTauri’s points this year.
  • Gasly has finished ahead of Perez in each of the last four races.
